Hallo, Halle! Edisi September 2020: Nutrition Balance
In the middle of the current pandemic, we are required to better take care of our physical health. It is not only important to exercise and stay in shape but also to emphasize a healthy diet with appropriate nutrition. Therefore Hallo, Halle! invited nutritionist Ellen Natalia to share her valuable knowledge and experience pertaining to a healthy lifestyle with our audience.
For two entertaining hours, Ellen answered the participants’ questions about myths and facts regarding a healthy diet. In addition, many participants were curious about common diet methods to lose or maintain weight.
Ellen stated one way to maintain a healthy nutritional balance is to use a nutrition guide, e. g. the nutrition guide Tumpeng Gizi Seimbang that is issued by the Indonesian Health Ministry. These new guidelines replace the outdated Empat Sehat Lima Sempurna dogma, which is still widely being applied in Indonesia. Another important factor for a well balanced nutrition and a healthy lifestyle is to pay attention to the treatment of food before eating. That way we can make sure the food is clean and does not lose its nutrients due to wrong treatment before we consume it.
