About the Course
You will learn to understand the main contents of complex texts on concrete and abstract topics; also understands specialized discussions in your own primary area of specialization. Can communicate so spontaneously and fluently that a normal conversation with native speakers is easily possible without a great deal of effort on either side. Can express yourself on a wide range of topics in a clear and detailed manner, explain your position on a current issue and indicate the benefits and drawbacks of various options.

Reading |
You will learn to read a number of different texts, such as advertisements, catalogue entries, excerpts from reference books, commentaries, reviews and reports, and complete exercises on these texts. You will also be required to fill in the missing words in a written text. -
Writing |
You will learn to comment on a newspaper report or short online article and correct a letter. -
Listening |
You will learn to listen to discussions and telephone conversations, correct or complete what you have heard and categorise statements. You will also listen to an interview on a current social topic and complete exercises on it. -
Speaking |
You willlearn to introduce yourself to your conversation partner, give your view on a current issue and enter into a discussion with your conversation partner.
