Ready for Germany

Germany constitutes a prime destination for Indonesians for both studying and working. It is therefore not surprising that the number of Indonesian students who continue their higher education in Germany is steadily increasing. Currently there are some 4.000 of them studying in Germany.

Both for study and work purposes, prospective students and workers must prepare themselves well. Not only in terms of language and knowledge, but also in terms of administration and finance. Therefore, Wisma Jerman collaborated with the Techniker Krankenkasse on August 8, 2020 to present an online seminar titled “Ready for Germany”.

The event, which was able to attract about 50 participants, discussed information about visas, insurance and other important preparations before going to Germany. Germany is known to have various types of insurance and the variety can be quite confusing. It is therefore important for prospective students and prospective workers to gain a better understanding of different types of insurance and their application. Not surprisingly, the participants at the event were very excited to state various questions during the question and answer session with speakers Rio Nindo from the Techniker Krankenkasse, and Johanna Sri Hartatik and Mike Neuber who participated on behalf of Wisma Jerman.
